John McNitt

Senior Associate, Wealth Strategy

John is a member of the Wealth Strategy Team at Geller Advisors LLC, focusing on providing strategic financial planning advice to clients related to wealth transfer techniques, pre-transaction planning, family office considerations, philanthropic and non-profit organizations, estate disposition, and investment management. In his role, John provides clients with bespoke analysis to demonstrate the impact of various planning concepts and strategies such as business transactions, portfolio construction, family office setup, income and estate tax minimization, retirement timing, charitable giving, and choice of domicile.

Prior to Wealth Strategy, John was a member of the Special Projects Team at Geller for three years, focusing on financial planning, cash flow management, scenario modeling, strategic planning, executive reporting, research, and project management for the firm’s Key Client.

Prior to Geller, John spent three years at KPMG in their Deal Advisory practice. In this role, he provided quality of earnings and other due diligence services to both corporate and private equity clients on the buy side and sell side across several industries. John also has experience in IPO readiness, assisting a multi billion dollar energy client with drafting an S-1.

John received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond with a major in Accounting and a concentration in Finance. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
